Pregnancy Physiotherapy

Pregnancy: It is an amazing adventure of growth but at the same time has physical demands that sometimes seem to come out of nowhere and sound surprising and overwhelming. Your body changes considerably in the way it holds up after adjusting to accommodate your growing baby as there are postural, hormonal, and musculoskeletal changes. Such alterations may cause you to feel bad, hurt or restricted in movement but it does not necessarily have to be something just to put up with.

Our pregnancy physiotherapy service is evidence-based, safe, and supportive, aiming at ensuring that you are able to stay active, comfortable, as well as confident throughout this experience. Short pelvis, sit ischemic or lie pain, pelvic negative findings, pelvic girdle painfulness, lower back pain, sciatica, rib ache, or pelvic floor aberration in many people. Such symptoms are commonly attributed to instability, postural and muscle control changes of joints- but with proper care, they are easy and sensitive to manage.

Personalised, Gentle, and Effective Care

All treatment programs are started with a careful and considered assessment to categorize your exceptional experience, manifestations, level of pregnancy, and how you get ready to it in everyday life. It is based there that we develop an individualised care program which might incorporate hands-on methods of relaxing the tension, alleviating the pain and to some of them enhancing the joint mobility. We adapt relevant fitness activities that center around the strengthening of pelvical stability, the development of core, and the establishment of functional movement by virtue of healthier breathing and posing.

To complement physical care, we offer realistic information about how you can move, rest, lift and put your body in a position that will add less strain but bring comfort. Education is very important to us, and you will feel both knowledgeable and empowered when things evolve in your body. It might be your first pregnancy or you are not first time, but it does not matter, our aim is to make you feel strong, supported and confident, not only during pregnancy but also during your preparation towards labour, delivery and during the recovery period.
