Acupuncture

Acupuncture is a kind and painless treatment that is based on ancient Chinese medicine. It entails inserting thin, spine-like needles on certain points on the body to stimulate the natural healing properties of your body. Although the method is ancient, modern acupuncture is a combination of the ancient wisdom and scientific knowledge. It is currently widely accepted in physiotherapy practices of the musculoskeletal care environment through out the UAE.

This treatment can be effective as it slows down nervous system and causes release of endorphins; which is the natural pain killer of your body. It increases the blood circulation naturally into the body, it tones tight muscles and helps in healing inflamed or hurt areas. Even specific pain or a difficulty to train or move, acupuncture is particularly useful when stiffness or pain make the process of motion difficult. It helps immensely by relieving tension, being less sensitive, to move and to initiate the process of recovery easier.

A Modern, Holistic Approach to Recovery

Acupuncture is readily used in treating chronic neck pain, lower back pain, joint pain, migraine and muscle tensions. It works well with tendon injuries and such problems as tennis elbow or trigger point in overworked muscles. Some of the stress-related symptoms, poor sleep, or hormone imbalances (which can affect the way the body heals and functions) can be relieved by some of the patients.

The vast majority of individuals report that acupuncture is relaxing, and many people feel calm, in a meditative state during a treatment. We apply it in a complete recovery program on our clinic. This will involve manual therapy, individual exercises, and a sense of direction in ensuring that you take charge of your healing.

Acupuncture reduces pain in the short term but what is more important it helps with long-term movement, strength, and balance. Maybe it is after injury, or maybe just because you are feeling tight and run-down, but acupuncture can rejuvenate your body back into its regular rhythm, in a gentle, safe way, and in a non-invasive manner.
