Johann is a fully qualified Dental Technician with over 15 years of experience. His speciality is in establishing digital in-house laboratories. By utilising state-of-the-art technology, Johann develops strategies to increase productivity by lowering manufacturing times of crown and bridge prosthetics.
The Snö lab is equipped with the best-in-class technology and equipment, utilising this capability Johann structures the lab workflow to provide patients with a quick turnaround of highly accurate shade, shape and fit. He works with superior technology that allows him to create crowns, bridges, veneers, implants that are super accurate and 100% patient specific. He has introduced concepts like Crown in an Hour, where in a single visit a posterior crown is prepped, scanned, manufactured and placed in record time.
The Rapid Shape 3D printer is used to manufacture high-end dental models and night guards. Implant splints that are used for guided surgery. The fully automated 3D CAD/CAM 5 axis dental milling machine moulds temporary crowns and bridges, Emax crowns and veneers, composite crowns, inlays and onlays, Zirconia crowns and bridges. The machine also mills full arch bridges with superior accuracy.
In 2009, Johann achieved his National Diploma in Dental Technology and then was awarded a B-Tech Bachelor’s Degree in 2010, both from Tshwane University of Technology, South Africa.
Johann continues to stay abreast with the latest advancements in dentistry by attending conferences at CAD/CAM & Digital Dentistry, Dubai Dental Technology and AEEDC.
