    How does Invisalign® work?

With a 3D scanner, your measurements are collected and transferred to a fully digital environment. In that environment, in collaboration with the certified Invisalign® orthodontists, we model your invisible aligner treatment and design the aligners.

Invisalign® consists of a series of virtually invisible, removable plastic aligners, which are created to fit your teeth exactly. The number of aligners will be dependent upon your treatment plan and the severity of your condition.

Every one to two weeks you change your aligners for the next ones in the sequence, gradually moving your teeth towards a more confident smile. Each aligner is worn for 22 hours a day and they should only be removed for eating and tooth brushing or a special occasion.

What are the benefits of Invisalign® vs Fixed Appliances:

    FAQ

    • What are clear braces?

Multiple sets of custom-made, non-BPA latex-free clear plastic mouthpieces that gradually shift teeth into their desired position are known as invisible braces, clear braces and Invisalign. You switch to the next pair of Invisible Braces every seven to fourteen days and wear them for 22 hours per day.

    • How do clear braces work?

While traditional braces utilize fixed wires to “pull” teeth into alignment, Invisalign uses a succession of molds to press your teeth into their new and improved position over the course of months. This is a brief description of the Invisalign procedure in general.

    • What is Invisalign?

Invisalign® is an alternative to braces that reduces overall treatment time while increasing comfort during the treatment. Currently, more than seven million patients in the world have chosen Invisalign® over other alternative orthodontic treatments. Unlike braces, you can still eat your favorite foods with Invisalign®, you can remove them for important meetings and then place them back and still maintain your treatment. Invisalign® can help you treat any orthodontic condition such as crowding, gaps, crossbite, underbite, overbite, and buckteeth.

    • Are clear braces painful?

Although Invisalign is not painful, it might cause a person’s teeth to become sore. Consider it similar to standard orthodontic treatment. Because of the pressure being applied to your teeth when you initially acquire any type of braces, you may experience some discomfort for a few days.

    • Can I get clear braces if I have a missing tooth?

The answer is simple, yes you can. You can even get clear braces/ Invisalign if you have dental implants.

    • How long do clear braces take to work?

It depends on every individual’s case. Some clear brace/aligner cases take 6 months to complete, with some cases concluding after 12 months or more.  In general, the treatment time varies depending on the severity of your situation.

    • How much do clear braces cost?

Clear braces cost more than regular metal or ceramic braces, this is due to the complex technology behind clear braces and lab production costs that are involved.
