Dr. Matthias Roux is a highly regarded and experienced German board-certified consultant dermatologist from Berlin, Germany. He has practiced Dermatology for more than 20 years. During this time, he has treated more than 60,000 patients and performed over 17,000 surgical and laser procedures. Dr. Roux studied medicine at the Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz where he gained his MD with great honours (magna cum laude). After this he joined the tumour center of the University of Heidelberg and worked several years at the German Cancer Research Center (headed by Nobel Prize winner Harald zur Hausen) in the institute of applied immunology. Later he pursued his dermatological education at the University of Cologne where he is also board certified in Dermatology and Venerology. He headed several dermatological research programs and is author of numerous publications in international journals and books.
