Dr Matthias Roux
Dr. Matthias Roux is a highly regarded and experienced German board-certified consultant dermatologist from Berlin, Germany. He has practiced Dermatology for more than 20 years. During this time, he has treated more than 60,000 patients and performed over 17,000 surgical and laser procedures. Dr. Roux studied medicine at the Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz where he gained his MD with great honours (magna cum laude). After this he joined the tumour center of the University of Heidelberg and worked several years at the German Cancer Research Center (headed by Nobel Prize winner Harald zur Hausen) in the institute of applied immunology. Later he pursued his dermatological education at the University of Cologne where he is also board certified in Dermatology and Venerology. He headed several dermatological research programs and is author of numerous publications in international journals and books.

Dr. Matthias Roux has been a featured speaker of state and international societies for many years, as well as performing medical training workshops for other dermatologists on laser and aesthetic procedures. He has been involved in the development of multiple new laser systems and therapeutic techniques, which are now commonly used throughout the world. He was co-founder and board member of the well known and international well reputed “Gesundheitszentrum am Potsdamer Platz GmbH” in the center of Berlin where he headed the department for dermatology for the last 13 years. During this time, he developed his own line of skin care products utilizing only the finest ingredients based on his cosmetic and pharmacological knowledge in a unique blend targeted toward photoaging, pigmentation and collagen/elastic tissue build up. Within this range are skin programs directed toward acne, photoaging, skin cancer prevention, hyperpigmentation, sun protection, and hair loss. He also developed specified skincare products for the very sensitive skin of newborns and children.
Dr. Matthias Roux is also co-founder and board member of “RESURGES”; a society of dermatologists and plastic surgeons focussing on wound repair, scar revision and quality management in aesthetic treatments. He is an active member of several dermatological societies including Germany Society of Dermatology, German Society of Phlebology, German Society of Dermatopharmacy, and Berlin Dermatological Society. His main interests are skin cancer and dermatosurgery, aesthetic renewal by lipotransfer and filler augmentation, new techniques in chemodenervation, phlebology (varicose veins treatment) and formulation of individual skin care products.
