A beautiful smile with well-aligned teeth can have a significant effect on a person’s personality and self–esteem.

As a little girl, Dr. Dana loved helping people and making them feel better, only to receive their smiles in return! As she grew, her interest grew and she went on to specialize in the field of orthodontics, which she says is the ‘science of smiles’.

Dr. Dana practices general dentistry with a specialization in Orthodontics so that she can help patients of all ages achieve their optimal healthy smiles. She appreciates the significant effect well-aligned teeth can have on personality development and the increased self-esteem that goes with it.  She works with her patients to address their points of concern to create healthy, beautiful smiles.

A believer that the key to good oral health is in prevention, she often tells her patients ‘an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure’, and encourages them to be diligent with brushing and flossing twice a day.

Dr. Dana grew up in Saudi Arabia, where she completed her Bachelor’s degree in 2007 and worked as a General Dentist for over 5 years in government and private dental facilities.

In 2013, she relocated with her husband to the UAE, where she completed a 3-year Master’s degree in Orthodontics, where she trained with a unique team of orthodontists from Sweden, in affiliation with Malmo University.

Dr. Dana spends her free time playing and roughhousing with her energetic sons.

Speciality Practices

Dr. Dana sees patients of all ages and helps them to align their teeth and adjust their bite.

Although, the improvement in facial and dental appearance is a major motivational factor for adults to seek orthodontic treatment, there are many health-related benefits to orthodontic treatment. Some of these benefits include reduced susceptibility to dental caries, periodontal disease, temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorder, and prevention of progressive traumatic dental injury.

In the case of children, as genetics play an important role in the structural skeletal pattern of the face, Dr. Dana advises parents to bring their children for an orthodontic consult as early as 7 years of age, the recommended age by industry experts. An orthodontic consult, at this age, can help identify when is the best time to start treatment, it could signal the start of ortho treatment to prevent more complex issues from arising in the near future and build relationships between child and dentist.

A parent’s role is crucial, as they are responsible to motivate the child and ensure the instructions of the dentist are followed.

Dr. Dana works with various orthodontic appliances from fixed braces (ceramic and metal), lingual braces, invisible braces (as a certified Invisalign™ provider) to various orthodontic appliances like bite plates, growth modification appliances, etc.

She is a member of the Saudi Dental Society, Saudi Commission for Health Specialties, and Invisalign™.
